In a Flash is the first book in the Collective series.These novels tell the story of a colony of humans in a distant star system. What makes these books different from most sci-fi is a focus on characters over spaceships, robots and the like.
As such, it was decided to make the focus of the covers a portrait of one of the characters. The covers are also color coded: orange for a 2234 storyline, green for the year 2213, etc.
